Osaze Odemwingie escapes from West Brom seals £2.5m move to Cardiff City

Peter Odemwingie has sealed a £2.5million move to Premier League new boys Cardiff, having finally agreed a transfer away from West Brom.

The striker's fee is around £1m less than what West Brom wanted earlier this week, with the Nigerian signing a three-year deal and Odemwingie vowed to repay his fee with goals, tweeting: 'Absolutely delighted to be joining Cardiff City FC! Can't wait to hear the famous Cardiff fans roar! I promise goals'.

Mercy Akide-Udoh's Play2Learn screening opened on Monday at Campos Square in Lagos, and the former African Footballer of the Year says she is excited by some of the talents on show.
"I have always known we have talent in this country, and I was not disappointed," said Akide-Udoh after the first day of tryouts. "I am excited by what I have seen on this first day, and by Tuesday, I hope to see even more people coming in to register and participate."

The Nigeria Football Federation has empaneled two investigative committees to look into petitions concerning two former Members of its Executive Committee.

Chairman of the NFF Media and Publicity Committee, Chief Emeka Inyama, heads the first panel which has responsibility to investigate thoroughly a petition sent to world football-governing body, FIFA against the Nigeria Football Federation’s leadership by the immediate past Chairman of the Nigeria Premier League and then 2nd Vice President of NFF, Chief Rumson Victor Baribote.

Wantaway West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie has been spotted in London a day before transfer deadline day yet again.

This time though, it wasn't to negotiate a transfer away from the club - though he admitted West Ham were interested - it was to look for sales of his own on Oxford Street.
The Nigerian forward has barely featured for his club since driving down to QPR without a deal in place on the last day of the January transfer window last season.

Liverpool have agreed a £1million fee with Chelsea to take Super Eagles star,  Victor Moses on-loan for the remainder of the 2013/14 season, according to This Is Anfield.


Victor Moses who won the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the Super Eagles of Nigeria  has reportedly already undergone his medical at Merseyside and he will be in the crowd at Anfield for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester Utd.
