    Soccer Laduma (sl10.ng) confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns winger Ejike Uzoenyi was issued a work permit by the South African Embassy in the Nigerian capital on Friday afternoon, after weeks of delay.

    The former Enugu Rangers winger, Uzoenyi was

    ''We just received Ejike's permit. We just came out of the South African High Commission in Abuja. He will now be heading to South Africa to join his teammates.”

    ''We are excited now because Ejike missed the whole pre-season of the club due to the delay of getting the work permit.”

    ''He will join his new club tomorrow, ''an elated Mohammed Lawal, who advises Ejike Uzoenyi, told SL10.ng.

    Coach of  Porthacourt based club, Dolphins FC has challenged the organizers of the Federation Cup to work harder to see that the glamour return to the competition.

    The Pride of Rivers coach, Stanley Eguma won the competition formerly known as the FA Cup in 2001 when Dolphins was formerly known as Eagle Cement.

  • Crown FC Management Suspends Akpokona

    The board and Management of Crown Football club Ogbomoso have handed Coach Lawrence Akpokona an indefinite suspension.

     This recent development at the club is contained in a letter to the coach on Thursday morning and signed by the Team Manager of the Club Sunday Olaosebikan  on behalf of the General Manager .

    " The decision becomes imperative due to unimpressive performance of the Club under your watch,"

    Crown FC didn't survive the Nigeria Premier League in their debut season and their second attempt

    Akpokona  joined Crown FC of Ogbomoso after the Ajilete Boys secured promotion ticket to the Nigeria Premier League but after 21 games in the top flight league the team from Oyo State, Crown are in the red zone.

    The suspension of Akpokona  came after Crown lost by a lone goal to Lobi Stars at their adopted home, Lekan Salami stadium Ibadan
