    It was a colourful welcome ceremony for new African champions, Super Falcons of Nigeria as they landed in Abuja on Tuesday.

    A party led by NFF President Amaju Pinnick and including Director of Federations and Elite Athletes department of NSC, Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba. NFF General Secretary Musa Amadu, Director of Technical Emmanuel Ikpeme, NSC top officials Caleb Gidado and Maria Whoophil and a number of other NFF officials received the contingent at a simple arrival ceremony at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, before the train moved to the National Stadium for a special welcome ceremony.

    Lagos State Football Association, LSFA in conjunction with the British Council has concluded plans to continue the development of women football in the State.

    The Programme EkoFootball Premier Skills Nigeria, EPSN which also has the backing of English Premier league will see young girls from across the State gathering in 6 (six) centers for 9 (nine) Saturdays undergoing intensive training not only in football but also in other areas of human capacity development in relation with other football activities like coaching, refereeing and administration.

    The death of South Africa and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa has left South Africa in shock after news filter in that the Bafana goal keeper was shot dead by burglars on Sunday evening.

    Senzo, 27 was murdered after getting into an altercation with armed robbers who were attempting to steal mobile phones.
