Amuneke says Eaglets will avoid Chile ‘87 debacle

Falconets now to play Basetsana on Sunday

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup African final qualifying match between Nigeria’s Falconets and the Basetsana of South Africa will now take place in South Africa on Sunday.

Earlier slated for Saturday, the match has been moved at the instance of the South African Football Association, but the venue still remains the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa (outside Johannesburg), and the match will still kick off at 3pm.

Pinnick off to Chile for Eaglets, Mexico clash

NFF President Amaju Pinnick will be with the Golden Eaglets when they take on Mexico in the FIFA U-17 World Cup semi finals on Thursday.

The NFF boss departed on Monday evening, following the Eaglets’ 3-0 thrashing of three –time winners Brazil in the quarter -finals on Sunday.

Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) on Friday, 30th of October named Alexander Belinga as interim coach to replace sacked German Volker Finke as he look forward to booking a place at the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup with African Best Nominee, captain Stephane Etoundi Mbia.

The German was appointed in May 2013 but his performance had come in for strong criticism after stream of poor results.

NFF To Odegbami: Face The Reality

The Nigeria Football Federation has chastised former Nigerian international player Olusegun Odegbami to stop his campaign of calumny against the NFF and prominent Nigerian football figures and face up to the reality that he undid him own campaign for a slot at the FIFA Presidency.

Former Green Eagles’ captain Odegbami failed to secure the statutory five nominations needed to put him on the ballot for next year’s FIFA Presidential election, and has been relentless in throwing salvos against the NFF and prominent figures like Dr. Amos Adamu and Chief Orji Uzor Kalu.

Oliseh Calls Obafemi Martins, Mikel, 21 Others For Sihlangu

With a firm accent on current form and ability, Head Coach Sunday Oliseh has invited 23 players, including USA –based Obafemi Martins and six home –based professionals, for the Super Eagles’ 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Swaziland.

The two –legged fixture will take place over four days next month, with the first leg in Lobamba on Friday, November 13 and the return at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, November 17.
