The U-23 National Team delegation has arrived in The Gambia for a 10 –day training program ahead of the 2^nd Africa U-23 Cup of Nations taking place in Senegal.

Thenff.com learnt that the ARIK Air aircraft conveying the team from Lagos lost a tyre on landing at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra. The airplane that was on ground in Accra was then deployed for the purpose of flying the team to The Gambia, but that also lost an engine on take –off and the pilot had to make a quick return.

The delegation of Sihlangu Somnikati to Tuesday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter with the Super Eagles will stay at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Port Harcourt.

Chief Executive Officer of the National Football Association of Swaziland, Frederick Mngomezulu, disclosed that the Sihlangu delegation would depart from Swaziland on Saturday, and travel via ARIK Air from Johannesburg on Saturday night, to arrive in Lagos on Sunday morning.

Lagos, Nigeria, Friday November 13, 2015: As the countdown for the 2015 edition of the Nigerian Sports Award thickens, the organizers have announced that the voting phase will close as scheduled by midnight of Sunday November 15, 2013.

According to the spokesman for the award and the Executive Director, Unmissable Incentives Limited, Mr. Kayode Idowu, the voting phase, which started on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 is expected to close as stipulated in the timelines of the 2015 award.

Idowu urged sports loving Nigerians who stillwish to vote for their Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year to take the opportunity of the remaining few days to do so before the deadline.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Swaziland ahead of Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup African Qualifying Round 2 clash with the Sihlangu Somnikati. 

The delegation led by NFF 1^st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, traveled aboard a chartered ARIK Air Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and landed at the Matsapha International Airport, Manzini at 4pmSwazi time (3pm Nigeria time), after six hours.
