  • Lagos Under 15’s Begin Battle In FAKA League

    Sixteen U15 teams will slug it out on 14 different turfs across Lagos for the maiden FA U15 Kiddies Amateur league. 

    The FAKA League (FA Kiddies Amateur League)  as it is popularly called is a grassroot, “catch them young” initiative by young grassroots coaches and supported by eminent Sport writers and  in Lagos in memory of a late Friend and colleague.

  • Eduok, Udoh Headline LBA October Nominees

    Glo Premier League scorers, Emem Eduok of Dolphins and Enyimba's Mfon Udoh, have been named among the nominees for the League Bloggers Awards (LBA) for October.

    Both players, who have scored 20 goals in the top flight this season, are in the running for the LBA Player of the Month for October alongside Christian Pyagbara of Sharks and Abu Azeez of Warri Wolves.

    Eduok and Udoh scored eight goals each in the month under review while Pyagbara and Azeez netted six and four goals respectively.

    However, the list of nominees for the LBA Manager of the Month has quite an impressive line-up of gaffers in the top flight.

    Kadiri Ikhana of Enyimba, Mohammed Baba Ganaru of Nasarawa United, Ladan Bosso of Abia Warriors, Paul Aigbogun of Warri Wolves and John Obuh of Enugu Rangers are in the running for the manager's award.

    The winners of the LBA Player and Manager for October will be announced on Monday, November 3rd, 2014.
