Sixteen U15 teams will slug it out on 14 different turfs across Lagos for the maiden FA U15 Kiddies Amateur league.
The FAKA League (FA Kiddies Amateur League) as it is popularly called is a grassroot, “catch them young” initiative by young grassroots coaches and supported by eminent Sport writers and in Lagos in memory of a late Friend and colleague.
The FAKA League is a developmental programme aimed towards creating a competitive atmosphere for young kids to improve their skills and develop into future stars, and also as a way of keeping the youths off the streets by keeping them preoccupied with the beautiful game.
Today Sunday the 2nd of November the first set of matches will be kick off across various pitches in Lagos in the inaugural FAKA League.
Shereef (Oworoshoki) will take on Shobande FC (Lagos Island) , 4:00PM at Muslim College Oworoshoki, while Igbado United (Igbado Ijaye) will face Real FC (Agboyin Land), 1:00PMat Igbado Ijaye AC Pry. School and finally Lakeside FA (Gbagada) will lock horns with Pepsi Football Academy (Lagos Island) at 4:45PM on the Gbagada Round about Play ground.
The Little League will be run on a home and away bases for the next 10 weeks. And will feature teams like Starlite FC (Oshodi), Jasper Fc (Agric oko Philip), FC Ablaze (Ikorodu) , Sharpsrical (Ikotun Egbe), Fetune FC (Oshodi), United Aspirante (Igbado Ijaye), Maintain Gbagada, B-Unite (Surulere) and Lio FA (Ikorodu).
