For the very first time in the history of Nigeria’s participation in the FIFA World Cup finals, the Nigeria Football Federation has given Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, the free hand to determine where his wards will make home at next year’s finals.

Golden Eaglets Head coach, Manu Garba (MFR) and Hon. Suleiman Kwande, NFF Board Member, has described the Kano State Sports Institute as a laudable project being undertaken by His Excellency Eng. (Dr,) Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The victorious National Under-17 World Cup-winning team on Tuesday visited the sprawling edifice located in Karfi under Kura LGA. On the entourage were also board members including Dr. Shehu Adamu; Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh as well as Mallam Ibrahim Musa(SA to NFF's
President). Mallam Gara Gombe, Special Adviser to Kano State Governor who led the delegation to the institute site on the outskirts of Kano City, said it was about 90 percent completion with almost all the facilities at the ready.

Engineer (Dr.) Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Executive Governor of Kano State, on Tuesday rewarded the two indigene of the state in the Golden Eaglets, captain Musa Muhammad and defender Bello Zaharradine with houses, promising to name a street on their behalf at their preferred choice in Amana, Bandirawo or Kwankwasiyya city.

The Governor announced the package and a sum of N9.8 Million to the players; officials and accompanied NFF's officials for winning a record fourth FIFA Under-17 World Cup in the UAE last month.
