The Nigerian delegation to Sunday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia’s Chipolopolo will depart from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Saturday.

NFF officials confirmed on Thursday that the team will arrive in time for an evening training session at the Levy Nwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Thenff.com further learnt that apart from the 23 players and 15 team officials that will be on the flight, there will some top officials of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, some members of the National Assembly, few members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management, some NFF staff and some stakeholders including media representatives.

“We have allocated slots to some stakeholders because it is a chartered flight and a number of seats are available after the players and team officials have taken their seats.

“The NFF is not paying anybody for being on the trip. We don’t have the money. All the stakeholders on the trip will be there simply to support the team during the game. We have told the persons involved that they will pay for their own board and lodging, and they have accepted to do that,” said NFF 2nd Vice President Shehu Dikko.

Imama Amakapbabio: A Coaching Genius Who Can Become A Revolutionary

By Footyalert →

By Ettedem Philip

It is no longer news that Enugu Rangers have ended their 32 year wait to be the NPFL champions or Imama Amakapbabio being credited by football analysts as the mastermind behind Rangers success and rightly so because he did that by introducing a swashbuckling display of football which was a delight to watch and easy on the eye.

But it certainly didn't happen overnight for the 46 year old tactician who was an assistant coach in Enyimba and Enugu Rangers, he was finally given the reins at the Flying Antelopes following the departure of Kelechi Emetole.

Though he replaced Kelechi Emeteole on a temporary basis but the Rangers management decided to keep him which eventually turned out to be a master stroke as he won the title.

One More Chance For MFM FC And It's All Gone

By Footyalert →

Very few believed that Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) debutant, MFM FC can compete with top clubs in the elite league.

MFM FC haven't been pushovers playing in the lower division, they were preparing to play in the Nigeria Nationwide League 1 (third level league) in 2012 when Bolowotan FC due to lack of funds gave MFM FC a slot for free to play in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The transition wasn't obvious as MFM FC continued from where Bolowotan FC left it and three years on the Olukoya Boys secured promotion in 2015. Through their stay in the NNL, MFM FC kept the bulk of their players and that gave them an edge. Their free flowing style attracts fans regardless of where they played and when they secured promotion in 2015, for those who have seen them played, expectations were high.
