A couple of Grass root football clubs will have an opportunity to qualify for play off to feature in the Nigeria Nationwide League (Amateur division) when the state league now branded as the "Eko Football League" kicks off on the 3rd of February,2014.
Clubs participating in the Eko Football League (EFL) includes,
Messiah FC, Teslim Thunder Balogun FC, Orimolade FC, Amazing Grace FC, LSDPC and TRAH FC.
During the draws held on Saturday 1st of February 2014 at the LSFA complex, Onikan, the technical committee chairman, Dotun Coker sounded a stern warning to participating teams on the importance of discipline and also advised each team to caution their supporters for proper conduct.
" We won't entertain any form of indiscipline from any team including officials, players or supporters. All we want is for participating teams to give fans value for their money and keep them entertained while we the organizer ensure that security at the venue is top notch" said Coker
All matches of the Eko Football League will be played at the Agege stadium during the week with plans to include weekend matches.
The participating teams officials who were all present at the draws gave thumbs up to LSFA for the initiative to rebrand the league and also rate the officiating at the 2013 state Federation cup high.
Below is the fixtures for matches that will be played at the Agege stadium Lagos on the 3rd of February;
- Messiah FC Vs. Teslim Thunder Balogun.

Kickoff- 1:45pm
- LSDPC Vs. TRAH FC
