Head coach of Nigeria U-20 women team the Falconets, Peter Dedevbo attributed the country's ouster from the world cup in Canada to technical indiscipline on the part of the players.
Nigeria last night at the parc Olympique Montreal lost 1-0 to Germany in the finals of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
According to Dedevbo, the Falconets played their best but
lost out for their inability to convert the chances that came their way.
"We missed out in the first half, there were many chances created but the team failed to convert them,"
"I must admit the girls played well and the Germans too. I lost the match out of technical indiscipline on the part of players. It is a lesson for them to learn to grab opportunities as they come".said Dedevbo
The coach who is yet to address the players after the loss, said his team had progressed very well in the competition beating England, New Zealand, Korea DPR, Korea Republic and a draw against Mexico.
"I commend them for their spirit of team work. They did well but the Germans took the luck. I dont want them to take it hard, they should take the corrections and move ahead. I will address them later, i want them to calm down first".
The coach said for Asisat Oshoala who won the best player and highest goal scorer of the tournament indicates that the team has created history in the world.
He commends his technical crew for their contribution to the success of the team and the NFF for their support.
"We are going home to start building for the next competition, Germany won in 2010 and 2014 again but we need to work to overturn that. We are not to allow them each time we meet to take our victory away. I have got many experiences in this World Cup,"
