The Iranian head coach, Carlos Queiroz will be in South Africa when the African Nations Championship (CHAN) kicks off in January 2014 to see the Super Eagles play.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Carlos Queiroz who will return to Iran on January 6, said that he was going to watch
the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and particularly the Nigerian team’s games, to enable him to analyze them. Iran will play against Argentina, Nigeria and Bosnia and Hezogovina in Brazil's 2014 World Cup campaign in Group F.
Iran who are 45th in FIFA's world rankings and Asia's top-rated side, have been drawn against two-times winners Argentina, reigning African champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria and tournament debutantes Bosnia.
Argentina, who can call on four-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, will be favorites to top the group, but Iran hopes to pose a stern test for Nigeria who are 36th in the world rankings, and Bosnia, 21st.
Nigeria will parade almost a new squad at the CHAN tournament because the tournament is exclusively for players who play in their country's domestic league.
