The Omoluabi Giants got relegated to the second tier league seven seasons ago and Shamsudeen is convinced that Prime's form is good enough to secure the sole promotion ticket in their group.
The former Anambra United spokesman believes his team is full of confidence to achieve a positive result ahead of the league opener.

"We're going to face different types of opponents; everyone is desperate for the sole promotion ticket. We will capitalize on our opponents weaknesses and try to limit their strengths. Each game is a different test and a different challenge, but by the special grace of God we shall stage a return back to the Premier League at the end of the season."

The State of Osun Government financed side are Grouped in Group B2 alongside Crown FC, Abia Comets, Remo Stars, Ikorodu United, Ekiti United, Go Round FC and Bussdor FC.

However, Shamsudeen has debunked media report in some section of the media stating that the club players intend to boycott the league, he stressed there was no iota of truth in the report.

"It is true that we're owing the players and it is not our tradition to owe but it was due to the drop in monthly federal allocation to the state which has really affected so many things in the state."

"The Governor has been supportive to the team since the Osun State Government took over the team. The players only went on strike on Friday pressing for their dues, and I can confirm to you that the players are back in training and they are battle ready to roast Ekiti United in our Week 1 game. There is no iota of truth that Prime players want to boycott the league."

"The management has been working assiduously to ensure the players get their money and I can state categorically that the players will get their dues in few days time,". Shamsudeen said.

Prime will lock horn against Ekiti United in their Week 1 fixture of the 2014/2015 NNL season at the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Sports Complex.
