  • Hughes: Odemwingie Will Make Squad To Face On Sunderland

    Stoke City boss, Mark Hughes has revealed that Super Eagles forward, Peter Odemwingie will make the Potters squad to face Sunderland in an English Premier League match in Saturday afternoon. 
    Odemwingie who has been out for almost eight months due to a cruciate knee ligament damage he suffered during the famous 1-0 win at over Manchester City in August 2014.

    Odemwingie,33, made a return to full training eight days back after he completed his rehabilitation
    and he has looked good in training however, the Potters boss, Mark Hughes has dropped a hint that the Nigeria international will make the match day squad that will face Sunderland.
    “Peter Odemwingie has looked really good, and whilst we don't want to compromise him, which we won't, he will be on the bench tomorrow,” Hughes was quoted by stokecityfc.com

    “It is a real positive for us to have him back in the group and available to get back into the squad again. He has put a tremendous amount of work in, his levels of fitness are really good and he has come through everything we have asked of him over the past week or so.

    “He is in a real good place and is confident. Obviously he had a really big smile on his face when I pulled him aside and spoke to him about that today.” Said Hughes.
