    President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has charged the Super Falcons to ensure that they do not only dismiss Rwanda from the Africa women championship (AWC) but go ahead to reclaim the title they lost two years.

    Speaking through the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC)  Gbenga Elegbeleye at the Falcons last training session before

    their departure to Kaduna for return leg duel with Rwanda, GEJ noted that the performance of the girls have not gone unnoticed.

    President Jonathan urged the Falcons to consolidate on the first leg 4-1 victory by beating the She-Amavubi soundly to qualify for the AWC in Namibia in October.

    "We expect you to send the Rwandese packing in style and go ahead to win the cup. You have to reclaim the title you lost two years ago to prove you are the best women team in Africa" said the DG who watched the team train with some Directors of the NSC.

    "Falcons may have gone down two years ago but I believe strongly that no team in Africa can challenge you girls with the kind of play I have just watched and your performance so far" he stated.

    Responding, team skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku said they would work towards beating the visitors and ultimately go ahead to win back the AWC adding "we shall not fail the nation and ourselves"

    Super Falcons trained at the practice pitch which is grass in preparation for their match which will be played on grass at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium and they are billed to depart Abuja for Kaduna Wednesday morning where they will play the second leg AWC qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday .
