Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, Saturday evening defeated Prime Football Club, 1-0 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.

Old war-horse, Charles Omokaro, scored the only goal in the 34th minute via nodding from a well tailored right flank cross that
cut Prime goalkeeper, Jimmy Bello napping.

The Week 18 Nigeria National League tie was a game that showed the best of the two gladiators showing fitness, cohesion and good football artistry.

The Omoluabi Giants enjoyed most of the possession of the game, with a well coordinated midfield and piled so much pressure on Insurance defence forcing goalkeeper, Nathaniel Asibe, to make spectacular saves off the efforts of Abdullah Fatai and Wale Adigun.

At the end of the entertaining match, Coach Solomon Ogbeide, thank God for his side victory, and commended both teams for a good display and the match officials for been fair and firm.

"It was a good match, good game by Insurance and Prime, good officiating and this game really showed that Nigeria referees can do well with what I saw. Prime played good football and if they can keep the performance I believe they are in for something good in the league," the veteran tactician stated.
