For a state that has not had a feel of Premier League football for over a decade and
suddenly got two slots it's only proper to make good use of that slot. Has Ikorodu United done that so far?
The Oga Boys spent just a season in the lower league and interestingly secured promotion to the apex football league Nigeria, NPFL but at this moment it looked more like Ikorodu United are destined to play in the lower league next season.
They lost again at the Onikan stadium. That's two home loss back to back - Giwa FC and now Rivers United who are porous on the road. Is the exit of Maurice Coreman who secured the promotion ticket for Ikorodu United the reason why they are struggling or is it the funny pre-season activities of the Oga Boys where they did an
open screening and were beating non league teams with their eyes closed?
What's wrong with Ikorodu United? Can this free fall at their home ground ever stop?
MFM FC spent three seasons in the lower league but it's obvious that Bolowotan FC who gave the Olukoya Boys a free slot to play in the NNL in 2012 will be glad they did because MFM FC are not just representing Lagos well in the NPFL but they are playing an attractive kind of football.
