Spurred by the presentation of brand new Coaster bus and Hummer bus to Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, the Management Board under the Chairmanship of Barrister Bamidele Aluko has commended the governor for the good gesture.
In a statement by Kwara United Football Club Media Officer, Prince Olayioye Ajide, the Board expressed deep appreciation with a pledge that the club would justify the gesture by clinching the coveted continental ticket.
Barrister Bamidele Aluko disclosed that the challenge and transportation travails which on many occasions subjected the darling club of Kwara State to an untold hardship have now become a thing of the past as both players and officials would now travel with comfort of the mind.
Aluko thanked all the stakeholders that stood by the club in the trying period and called for prayers as the club prosecute the remaining league matches.
“We shall ever remain grateful to our sports loving Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for his unflinching moral and financial support to the club which manifested in the presentation of the coaster bus, Hummer bus and approval of fifty percent sign-on fees for the current season. The Management Board is thankful and prays for more wisdom as he pilots Kwara State.” Aluko sounded.
Barr. Bamidele Aluko assured that the Board would not relent in motivating the players and officials to victory in all the remaining league matches.
It will be recalled that Kwara United honoured most of their league matches with borrowed buses in the first stanza of the league, but with new buses the high riding club now cruise to league venues with ease.
