The 2015 lagos FA Cup currently going on at the Agege Stadium recorded an interesting result in a round of 32 match on Monday, March 16.
Top notch referees were called upon to officiate the match between Bridge FC who used to play in the Nigeria National League (NNL) and 2014 Lagos FA Cup champions, AS Racing who feature in the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL).
Both teams knew each other so well but a revenge locked deep in the heart of one of the teams, in 2014 AS Racing dumped Bridge FC out of the competition and it was obvious that the team nicknamed 'the Bridge Boys' who once had Super Sand Eagles and Warri Wolves striker, Abu Azeez in their books wanted to prove a point.
After regulation time the match ended without a goal and had to go straight into penalties, in the end it was Bridge FC that came out tops.
Bridge FC chief tormentor and former Surulere Sports City forward, Ojo Adebowale after the match expressed joy and insisted it's a sweet joy because they've shown the 2014 FA Cup champions that they've gotten better in 2015.
"I'm very happy today, much more that we had to prove to AS Racing that they were just lucky last year,"said Ojo
"We wanted the win over AS Racin, I'm sure you know the obvious, we shall take each match as they come but today's win will motivate us to conquer each team as they come," Ojo Adebowale stated.
