Players of Kogi United FC have resolved to give their all as they prepare to host Yobe Desert Stars in this weekend's Week Three Nigeria National League (NNL) match.
The match billed for the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja on Saturday will be used to get to winning ways for the Wada Boys after two back-to-back draws in their fixtures.
The club's defensive midfielder, Peter Owoicho noted that the Confluence State club have been lifted with an important point secured from Supreme Court last week adding that the boys from Damaturu will be used get the winning mentality back.
"We are seriously ready for the weekend match, its very important, in fact, I can tell you we are on fire now and with God on our side, we will beat Yobe Desert Stars well on Saturday, begins Owoicho.
Its not too good we drew our last match at home, but one point we pick in Abuja (against Supreme court) really helped us and give us confident to go into next game, we are working to get the three points, we can't afford to drop any now you know this is abridged league and by God's grace we will make our fans happy once again," the former Kaduna United said.
When asked about his team's chances to pick the ticket to the Apex league, Owoicho said Kogi United will take their games as they come with total seriousness and determination.
"Its our tall dream to promote but we want approach games as they come, we will try our best to get points on the road and secure maximum victories in all our home games, we will play with all our minds and by God's grace we will get there," he said
