NNL Confirms 2014/2015 May 16 Kickoff Date.

After experiencing series of postponement, the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2014/2015 season will kickoff on Saturday, May 16 2015.

NNL Chairman, High Chief Emeka disclosed this much in a chat with the media in Abuja yesterday after a meeting of the board called to fine tune the commencement of the league on May 16, 2015.

He assured that the league which has suffered two postponements will start on Saturday after all the impediments which have bedeviled the early kick-off have been resolved including the decision to allow clubs to pick the bills of the match officials for now.

The NFF executive board member regretted the late commencement of the 2014/2015 NNL season and assured that all the lost ground will be recovered, pointing out that the delay was occasioned by the month-long General Elections in Nigeria starting the February 28 Presidential Elections.

Meanwhile, tough fixtures will herald the kick-off of the season across the stadia in Nigeria with Kaduna United FC hosting Adamawa United at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Elsewhere, Plateau United will ambush Yobe Desert Warriors FC in Jos even as Supreme Court FC of Abuja will travel to Dutse to confront Jigawa Golden Stars FC while Kogi United will welcome Spotlight FC in Lokoja.
