Former Heartland FC attacker Brendan Ogbu has cried out loud at the inability of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to redeem their pledge of 250,000 after he won the MOTM at the 2012 Federation Cup final in Lagos.
Brendan Ogbu won man of the match award after scoring the winning goal for his side Heartland FC against Lobi Stars in the 2012 Federation Cup Final held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium Lagos.
"It's true because they promised to give the award which lucky I won. They haven"t given me the money. I've tried since 2012 to contact them but I gave up in 2014 since I didn't get a positive response," Ogbu lamented
He also said that his former club Heartland FC are aware of this development
" Initially they promised me that they were talking to them (Heartland FC) that the money will be paid once the cheque is ready and that was the last time i discussed the issue with Heartland and they are also aware of this development" Ogbu added
He also said that the Lagos State Government redeemed their pledge of 300.000 a week after the Federation Cup Final
