Shooting Stars coach, Fatai Amoo is delighted with the 1-0 win over seven time Nigerian champions, Enyimba International in a week 31 fixture in the Nigeria Professional Football League played at the Lekan Salami stadium on Sunday.
The Oluyole Warriors are just a step above the danger zone and Amoo is glad that the Ibadan outfit got the three points at stake as they prepare for a trip to Plateau United.
"It was a tough game but kudos to my boys for standing up against the almighty Enyimba international," Amoo told Footyalert
"Our intention going into the match was to win but we knew well that it won't be an easy or cheap ride. We knew that we had to raise the standard a little bit more to secure the three points at stake and that's what we did.
"We created series of opportunities to score a couple of goals but to have secured the win with a goal does it for me.
"Now next on our mind is the match against Plateau United. We know that we have to do much more than what we did against Enyimba if we want to win or pick up a point against Plateau United.
Shooting Stars have garnered 40 points from 31 matches and sit 16th on the league table.
