Abdulrahman expects positive NNL restart for Kogi United

The business end of 2016/2017 Bet9ja Nigeria National League, NNL, gets underway on Wednesday across the country with interesting fixtures in both Northern and Southern conferences.

FC Taraba hosting Kogi United at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo is one of the fixtures expected to get soccer pundits talking with its outcome in the Northern Conference.

Kogi United will look to continue with their impressive performance with a victory against a trouble-laden FC Taraba side which would further put them in good stead to fight for one of the slots for promotion to the NPFL.

United are on four games unbeaten streak in the last stages of first round of the 'Most Important League in Nigeria'.

The Lokoja based side wrapped the first stanza of their campaign with a 1-0 home win over their tomorrow's hosts.

The boys of Coach Tunde Abdulrahman will also be ready to compound FC Taraba's woes with a victory to push them further down to relegation zone.

The Jalingo based club have had a dismal start to the season losing two home games and drawn one in the first round, a results they will not want to repeat in front of their home fans on Wednesday.

But Coach Abdulrahman- who guided FC Taraba to the apex league in 2013- has expressed optimism that his players would give it all to get the needed result.

He noted that understanding his opponent's tactics and environment could be added advantage for Kogi United to have a good outing in Jalingo just as he charged the Confluence State club to live up to their performance in the build up to the match.

"We are ready, mentally and physically for the second round and we want to start positively from the Taraba match," Abdulrahman begins.

"I'm expecting a good match, we are not going to underestimate them (FC Taraba) despite their internal challenge, clubs in their condition are always dangerous to play, but I'm positive of a good result.

"Well, I think that (understanding the team and town) will count for us if at all it will, but we are focused on getting our game and tactics right, we pray for luck and I ixpect a good game from my players if at all they could replicate what they've been doing in training in the main game," he told the club official website, kogiunitedfc.com.

The match is expected to kickoff by 4pm at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo on Wednesday.
Husband: Honey I will buy a new mattress on my way home. The one we are using is no longer comfortable.
