Golden Eaglets' technical crew raised the tempo of the team's training regimen on Monday with strenuous fitness exercise, even as lion-hearted Kehinde Ayinde returns to full training.

The work out which involved running amongst other things according to officials, was to test the endurance level of the players. All the players bar injured duo of Dauda Abdulganiyu and Kolawole Gbadamosi took part in the 40-minute drilling before the routine playing session.

"Football is all about techniques, tactics and fitness," reckoned Kabiru Baleria, the Golden Eaglets' assistant coach known for his speedy runs in his heyday.

"We are gradually getting into the decisive stage of our programme as such, it is necessary to know the condition and the players' readiness for the challenges ahead," he noted.

Meanwhile, the return of Kehinde Ayinde to full fitness added buzz to
the team's training on Monday. The petit striker that was snapped up from the Kwara Football Academy has been out of action for almost two weeks due to groin injury but was back at his usual best. The lad who was among the goals for the Golden Eaglets at the recently held  WAFU B Tournament in Togo, proved that he has not lost his appetite  by scoring a goal and setting  up two others much to the delight of officials as his side romped to a 3-0 lead before he was pulled out.

"I'm excited, Kehinde is back and better," shouted the ever swashbuckling Golden Eaglets' coordinator, Prince Udofia."It is great that he has joined his colleagues and this indeed is cheering news for us."
