Nigeria Professional Football League champions (NPFL), Kano Pillars and Enyimba Int'l will feature along with four other teams in the Super Four scheduled to take place in Abuja.

NPFL who will play on the continent and this year's tourney will have six teams instead of four teams, both the U-20s and the U-23s have been invited to take part to prepare them for their respective competitions they'll feature in.

The Super four is expected to begin on January 22 in Abuja and will include Kano Pillars and Enyimba (both featuring in the CAF Champions League), Warri Wolves and Dolphins ( both featuring in the CAF Confederation Cup) while both Flying Eagles and the Dream Team VI preparing for the African Youth Championships (AYC) and All Africa Games Qualifiers respectively.
