  • West Ham Bid For Azubuike Egwuekwe Rejected

    Reports have it today that West Ham have had a bid rejected for Super Eagles defender, Azubuike Egwuekwe.

    The big defender, Egwuekwe has pulled interest from a number of clubs across Europe, it was learned that the said interest from English Premier League side, West Ham has been rejected.

    An official of the Nigeria Professional League side, Warri Wolves told Standard Sport  that West Ham's bid of £500,000 for the Eagles defender has been
    knocked off.

    “We rejected a bid from West Ham because we had disagreement with the agent handling the issue,” a club spokesman told Standard Sport.

    “The Club will make an official statement as regards his final destination soon.

    Azubuike Egwuekwe has admitted to reporters in recent weeks that he hopes to leave the Seasiders soon.

    “Offers are coming from overseas, I have an offer from an EPL club, the Championship and from Russia.

    “I am still a Warri Wolves player, but at the end of this month by God's grace I hope to say bye bye to Warri Wolves,"said Egwuekwe.
