The Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL) have officially announced that the scheduled Super Eight Tournament for winners of the NNWL Division two winners has been canceled.
The Nationwide League has three division in its league,ie. Division one is the third level league in Nigeria while division two and three are the forth and fifth level league.
The top Eight teams in the division two were to take part in the tournament tagged "Super 8" where
the winner of the division will emerge. However the league board have been compelled to cancelled the Super 8 due to series of complains from participating teams.

According to a letter from the NNWL and signed by its secretary, Olushola Ogunnowo: "The NNWL regret to inform that the Super 8 will not be played as planned, this was due to non availability of most of the teams involved.
"The confirmation was made when the NNWL received complaints from participating teams that their players are on break and it'll be difficult for them to prepare their teams for the event.
The Super 8 which was schedule for January 28-31 in Abuja will not hold and the league board have promised to organize such event in future but it stated that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will go ahead as planned on the 31st of January 2015 in Abuja.
