Kano Pillars goalkeeper, David Obiazor has revealed that the four time Nigerian champions have set a 10 match unbeaten run.
The Kano outfit have drawn on the road at Rivers United and at Remo Stars while they have won at home in Kano to Katsina United, Enyimba FC and Wikki Tourist and Obiazor is optimistic that Masu Gida will take over at the top.
“Luck is an integral part the game and how you set your targets also counts. We were determined to defeat Wikki Tourist on Wednesday because we knew that a win will take us to the top three on the table and we hope to take over at the top and hopefully stay there,”Obiazor told Footyalert
“We have set a target of ten matches to go unbeaten both and away. Yesterday’s win against Wikki Tourist in Kano made it the 5th win in a roll and we shall continue to push as we aim for the top spot. I believe that we shall achieve our target considering the obvious improvement in the Nigerian League.”
“Things are getting better on a daily basis in the Nigerian League , officiating, security and many other things have experienced a face lift. So our ambition is to prepare for each match, try as much as possible to pick a point or the three points at stake. We aren’t under pressure but we very focused to achieving our set target.”
The Super Eagles goalkeeper joined Kano Pillars two seasons back from El-Kanemi Warriors FC
Third placed Kano Pillars who have a game in hand are two points adrift Nigeria Professional Football League leaders, Plateau United who are on 22 points after 12 matches.
