NNL: Likely Teams For Promotion and Relegation

The Nigeria National League has got a big task to put its credibility on the line when the last two matches in the league kicks off in the last week of July. Due to backlog of protest from clubs the league board were compelled to postpone the league for two weeks in other for it to attend to pending issues.

This unexpected break has afford clubs an opportunity to perfect their strategies ahead of the final day fixtures however it has also given room for some back door chat amongst clubs official.

Footyalert coordinator decided to predict the likely result of some matches considering some factors that might force the needed result for some teams regardless of where they play  and if it goes that way then ****IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THERE WERE BEHIND THE SCENE CHATS***

    - Week 29&30-Spotlight Vs FC Taraba, FC Taraba Vs. Giwa

FC Taraba are second on the log and  with just a ticket left in group A since Giwa FC of Jos have confirmed their promotion ticket.  Spotlight are on 35 points and with just 6points left in the league to go for, they'll be saved if they can pick 2points. That means a win,win situation for both teams. FC Taraba will need the maximum points in their last match to seal their place for promotion and a last match  against Giwa FC will be a must win for the Jalingo based team.
**Expect a draw in week 29 and a win for FC Taraba in week 30***

Week 29&30- JUTH FC Vs. Plateau United,Plateau United Vs. Ranchers Bees.

Both teams are based in Jos, A win for Plateau United will boost their chance for qualification and with JUTH FC already on 36points , a point will be enough for them. Plateau United must pick the maximum point in their last match against Ranchers Bees who need just a point to seal their NNL status for next season.
**Expect a win or at least a draw in week 29 and a win for Plateau united in week 30****

Week 29&30- Fountain Vs. Prime FC, Prime FC Vs. Unicem Rovers.

Prime FC who are yet to win on the road might pick the maximum points in Ekiti and also do same at home against Unicem Rovers. Currently on 31 points and any slip in any form will confirm them relegated from the NNL.
**Expect a win,win situation for Prime FC***

Week 29&30- Remo Stars Vs. Abia Warriors,Abia Warriors Vs Akwa Starlet

One of the biggest drama to expect will be at the Dipo Dina stadium where Remo Stars who are on 40points will host Abia Warriors who are on 41 point. Expect a couple of distraction before and during this match, a win for Remo will boost their promotion chances while a loss for the visiting team won't be good for them. The chairmen of both clubs are active on the board of the NNL.

***Expect a loss and a win for Abia Warriors**

    Teams That Might RELEGATE

In Group A, FC Abuja are good as gone with just 25 point and losing their week 28 home match to Jigawa Golden Stars who haven't been convincing on the road this term. Kogi united might also join their city rivals FC Lokoja in the lower league. I'll leave the last relegation slot in group A to either Adamawa united or Niger Tornadoes.

    In Group B,
We've got Fountain,Prime,COD United and Akwa Starlet, Bendel Insurance and Rising Stars likely to end up in that zone.

Fountain of Ekiti are a done deal, they will go back to the lower league where they were playing before they took over Divine Warrior's NNL slot in the NNL. I doubt if Prime FC,Rising Stars or Bendel Insurance will go down, Some teams have the technical (Politics) know how to handle situation like this. I don't like to get emotional when sharing my views but really i think i will because of what COD United have done in-terms of running a football club in a professional way.

The "White Lion" had almost an identical situation like this last season but scale through courtesy of an home draw in their last match. You needed to see the way fans refused to leave the pitch waiting to get the final score of Crown but luckily the Ogbomoso team couldn't pick a point and that gave COD united the opportunity  to remain in the NNL. I'm not cooking up an excuse already but i doubt if COD united will survive the battle of the fittest in that zone.

    Likely Teams for promotion
Giwa FC are Npl bound but one between FC Taraba or Plateau United will pick the second ticket in group A.

In group B,the week 29  result between Remo Stars  Vs.Abia Warriors and Gabros Vs. Crown will  determine  the two clubs that will gain promotion.
