#FedCup2013: Tough battle, Slim Victories,More Upsets.

I'm just playing around with this Federations Cup fixtures. Please just take a glance at the fixtures, I feel some of the big boys will have to bid 2013 FedCup bye. Kick off date-July 17,2013.Here's my take....

    •Heartland FC Vs Ingas FC

The Federations Cup defending champions, Heartland will start another race to aim at defending the Federations cup which they won back to back in 2011 against Enyimba and 2012 against Lobi Stars. The Nazi Millionaires will face Ingas FC of Enugu who showed Ranchers Bees of Kaduna the exit door.
**My View** Slim victory for Heartland, 2:1.

•J. Atete FC Vs Sharks FC

Sharks FC are sitting comfortably at the foot of the NPL log (laughss). The Blue Angels will no doubt have it tough against high flying Nationwide League club, J. Atete who qualified along side Warri Wolves from Delta state. J. Atete had earlier thrown Bendel Insurance out of the FedCup window and the Warri base team will sure give Sharks of Porthacourt a good challenge for the round of 16 slot.
    **My view**comfortable victory for J.Atete, 3:1.

•Akwa United FC Vs Makwada FC

This fixture might look simple to those who don't know Makwada FC, the NNWL team gained promotion to the NNL but sold their slot to Adamawa united. The promise keeper from Uyo will have to wake up from their recent loss to Dolphins in the GloNPL or else Makwada might just sting them.
**My view** Akwa united 2:1 makwada

•Enugu Rangers Vs Samba Kurna FC

If I consider the way Rangers Int'l trashed Dan Lawan in Jos then had say Samba FC will get their own share as well too.
    **My view** Rangers 4:2 Samba

    •Plateau United Vs Niger Tornadoes.

With the incredible victory of Plateau united Feeders in the NNWL(79:0) play offs  one will expect another funny score line. Both teams feature in the NNL, Plateau united are focused on picking a promotion ticket while Niger Tornadoes are trying to avoid relegation.
    **My view** penalties will decide.

•Warri Wolves Vs Sportlight FC – Ilorin

The last time Warri Wolves played at Ilorin the Seasiders got a 0:2 away win against ABS. Sportlight of Katsina are in the relegation zone of NNL.
**My view** Warri Wolves 3:1 Sportlight

    •El-Kanemi Warriors Vs Kano Pillars

This is more like a Premier League match. Both teams played in the same group in the last 16 of the Federations cup in 2012. El-Kanemi Warriors were in the lower league at that time, the Maiduguri base team didn't qualify from that group while Kano Pillars got to the semi final. **My view** Kano P 2:1 El-Kanemi

•FC Taraba Vs Gombe United – Lafia
Each time I see Gombe united in the Federations cup it reminds me of the way Tahiti were trashed in the FIFA confedrations cup. Two days after Nigeria beat Tahiti 6:1, the Savanah Scorpion from Gombe did same to Bussdor FC, the match ended 9:1. FC Taraba are second on the NNL log with a strong chance of picking a promotion ticket. Both teams will feel at home because this match will be played at Lafia, that's the home ground of Nasarawa united.
**My view** FC Taraba 3:2 Gombe united

    •Nasarawa United Vs COD FC

Personally I feel it's an adventure for COD united, it's their debut season at the nationals, they are the champions of Lagos and I guess they'll have fun  against any team in the FedCup. The Solid Minners who dust Adamawa united in the round of 64 will have to roll up their sleeves else the White Lion who are always the fans favourite any where they play will bite Nasarawa united and move on.
**My view** Nasarawa United will take the lead while COD united will come back to win :1:3.

    •Remo FC Vs Enyimba FC

Remo Stars should be awarded the most entertaining side in the NNL this season but playing against a more established side like Enyimba is definitely a big match in all ramification to the Sky blue fans. The Confluence stadium in Lokoja host this match and with such an attractive playing surface, the Confluence stadium presents an equal chance for both teams.

**My view** Remo Stars 4:3 Enyimba

•3SC Vs JUTH FC – Minna

3SC of Ibadan will not like anyone to remind them of how a non league side,Fame FC dump them out of the 2012 FedCup. This time around the Oluyole Warriors will face Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH FC). The last time an Oyo state representative went to Minna they lost out on Penalties. Crown played against Lobi Stars in Minna in 2013 FedCup round of 64 but lost out on penalties. JUTH FC might not give their all in this because of a tough task of avoiding relegation in the NNL, they are 3steps away from relegation with just two matches to go in the NNL. **My view** 3SC 1:0 JUTH FC

•MFM FC Vs Lobi Stars – Nnewi

This is another jolly ride for the second team from Lagos. They got a gold gift of playing in the NNL  from Bolowotan FC and turned it to a Diamond because they have a slim chance of picking a promotion ticket in the NNL. Lobi Stars might draw some inspiration from what they've achieved in the past but considering their current form it's obvious they might just be happy to focus on the NPL. Lobi stars have lost twice at home and lost out in an embarrassing way on the Continent. **My view** MFM 2:0 Lobi Stars

    Other matches

    Dolphins FC Vs Akwa Starlet
    Abia Warriors Vs Kaduna United
    ABS FC Vs Bayelsa United
    Nembe City Vs Sunshine Stars
