According to reports claiming that 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finalist, Ghana will play the Super Eagles of Nigeria in a friendly and it is yet to be confirmed.
According to ghanasoccernet.com, Ghana Football Association (GFA) is yet to accept an offer from the Nigeria Football Federation for next month’s friendly.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced that the Eagles will host Bolivia at the Akwa Ibom stadium on the 26th of March.
“We are still studying the offer from the Nigerian Federation and yet to take a decision on that,” a Ghana FA source told GHANASoccernet.com
“We want to take advantage of the FIFA free date next month and get the Black Stars busy.”
The high-profile international friendly is expected to prepare both teams for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which begin in June.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the just ended Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea while Ghana were losing finalists on penalties to Ivory Coast.
