In Part 3, we concluded our write up on ‘scouting’ and for this week – the transfer window will be our major focus.
    TRANSFER WINDOW

In football the transfer window is a time when scouted players move to interested clubs and it is in two phases, that is, during the January window and the June to August window while in a relationship it is referred to as the ‘toasting period’ when the guy finally ask the girl out after months of observing but here the window is always open except when she is married.

In January, 2013, Newcastle united (England) agreed a deal to sign Loic Remy from Olympic Marseille (France) after months of intensive scouting and weeks of negotiation, both parties seemed happy, media houses reported the deal while football pundits were already looking forward to how the Frenchman will fit into Newcastle’s playing pattern whether in a 4-4-2 formation to partner Senegalese international, Papise Cisse or in a 4-5-1 formation as a lone striker.

But these permutations were quashed when Queens park rangers (England) matched Newcastle’s offer with a better personal fee for Remy and by Wednesday 16th, January 2013 he was unveiled as a player of the club.
How could we also forget the Brazilian Willian who agreed a deal with Liverpool, had his medicals with Tottenham Hotspurs and was later unveiled as a player for Chelsea football club on 28 August 2013.
Now, in a relationship, sometimes a girl is torn between two lovely guys whom she likes and respects equally and during the cause of negotiation or toasting she may have the luxury of going out with both of them at separate times and their playing pattern may just swing it for one of the guys.
Here is what I mean, one guy may play the 4-4-2 formation where he always hang out with his friends and sometimes it interferes with the couples quiet time while the other guy goes with the 4-5-1 formation which is sometimes seen as ultra-defensive but very effective just like Chelsea under Roberto Di Matteo en route winning their first ever UEFA Champions league title in 2012.
So playing solo up front sometimes can help win the lady’s heart especially if she is the very private type. (We’ll continue from here next time but you can always reach me viacj82smiles@gmail.com, and follow me on twitter: @brownsmiles001).
