Nigeria Will Face Germany In The Round Of 16
Nigeria's U20 team at the 2015 FIFA World Cup, Flying Eagles seem to have gotten to their sweet spot after a slow start to the tournament.
The Flying Eagles secured a round of 16 ticket to set up a mouth watering clash with Germany after a 2-0 win over Hungary in their last Group E match. The Manu Garba tutored team lost 2-4 to Brazil in their first match but responded well against Korea DPR with a 4-0 win, the last match was a winner takes all for the second place spot in the group after the Brazilians who are yet to lose a match secured the top spot.
The Nigerians did well to keep the Hungarian danger man who is on four goals, Bence Mervo quiet for the entire duration of the match.

In the 33rd minute, Gyorgy Szekely couldn't do anything when Awoniyi struck to put the Flying Eagles ahead. The captain, Musa Muhammed released a long pass which seem perfect for Godwin Savior who ran ran into the right wing then cut a cross for on rushing Taiwo Awoniyi who ran away from the two Hungarian defenders around him to connect well and scores. That goal the Nigerians an advantage into the break.
The Europeans came back purposeful in the second half and produced what would have been a beautiful goal but that never happened. Mario Nemeth released a shot from 30 yards and it rattled the crossbar which left MFMF FC goalkeeper,Joshua Enaholo completely beaten.
In the 54th minute, Awoniyi again produced a class performance that gave him a brace in the match. The Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Joshua Enaholo threw the ball from his box and interestingly both Attila Osvath and Akos Kecskes went up for the same header half way into the Hungarian half and missed the ball entirely, mean while Taiwo Awoniyi was on hand to benefit from that mistake, he pick up the ball ran off the last Hungarian defender and rounder the goalkeeper, Gyorgy Szekely before putting the ball into an empty net.
Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho got his second appearance at the World Cup when he came in for injured Enyimba FC midfielder, Kingsley Sokari while Moses Simon also got his first action in the tournament.
The Flying Eagles will face Germany who they've met twice at this level In the round of 16.
