36 Lion FC gaffer, Akinrele Francis has apologized to the esteem fans of the Lagos based club after a 2-1 loss to Juvenile FC in a week One Nigeria Nationwide League One match at the Gateway International Stadium, Ilaro.
The Lion made a come back to league football after three years absence but their opener in the third tier league ended without a point however, Akinrele has responded like a true leader would do as he has shown remorse after the loss.
"Our fans remain the best anytime, any day. I love them, they're very passionate with the team and we can feel it both at training and during matches," Akinrele disclosed to 36Lion Media team.
"We are deeply sorry. Sometimes in football the unexpected happens but that's not the end. It's a league with so many matches yet to be played, so we're winning more of away and home games this season.
"36 Lion is an ambitious side, we are not giving up from winning our group this season. We shall make our fans smile,as they have shown the world that they are proud of us," he added.
Akinrele admitted Juvenile FC were the better side in the encounter, but I extol praise to my boys for showing their display on the pitch.
"Juvenile were king today and they deserve it. We’ll go back and work again". Akinrele submitted.
The Lagos based team will welcome MFM Feeders on Thursday, May 18th at the Onikan Stadium.
