Former Junior international, Ubong Ekpai is hopeful that his performances at Czech Republic side, FC Slovan Liberec could earn him a national team call-up.
The former Akwa United and Kano Pillars winger who is on loan from Israeli club, Maccabi Haifa is enjoying life with the Libes having played in five Europa League matches and involved in all domestic games and he has expressed his wish to play for Nigeria's senior team, the Super Eagles.
"It has been a very great season for me at my new club, FC Slovan Leberec in Czech Republic and I am delighted with my performances in the team both on the continent and in the domestic scene," Ekpai told Footyalert
"I want to play for the national team and I am confident that my performances on the pitch will get the attention of the national team selectors soon.
"I've been invited thrice under former coach, Stephen Keshi (RIP). I want to be invited to the national team again because I know that I have all it takes to play for the Super Eagles," Ekpai stated
