    Giwa FC of Jos has been expelled from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) for multiple infractions of the Framework and Rules of the NPFL, particularly for violation of B13.28 which prescribes expulsion from the league for any club that fails to honour three matches cumulatively within a season with no acceptable reason to the League Management Company (LMC).

    Imama Amapakabo, have been named League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Player
    and Manager for April respectively in the Nigeria Professional
    Football League (NPFL).

    The contest for both awards was tight and it had to be determined on a
    number of co-efficient to arrive at the winners as a few of the
    nominees had more appearances than others in the month under review.
    For Amapakabo, it is a second month on the bounce, he is being named
    as the best manager in the top division by the LBA after he emerged
    winner in March.

  • NFF reminds Plateau FA about banned players and officials

    The Nigeria Football Federation has written to remind the Plateau State Football Association that the ban placed on some football players and officials following a couple of scandalous results in the 2013 Play-Off matches of the Nigeria Nationwide League, in Bauchi Centre, is still in force.

    In results that attracted global alarm and condemnation, Plateau United Feeders, Akurba United FC of Lafia, Police Machine FC of Yola and Bubayero FC of Gombe were involved in unimaginable scorelines of 76-0 and 89-0, and the Nigeria Football Federation set up a panel that recommended that players, team officials and match officials involved in the shameful events be banned for life from the game.
