  • Lagos SWAN Mourns Late Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele

    The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, has expressed deep shock and sadness at the sudden death of former Lagos State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele.


    Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele is said to have died at about 5am on Thursday, 5th May, 2016 in India.

    Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Fred Edoreh, reacting to the unfortunate news described the passing of Prince Adeniji-Adele as a great loss to the state and the nation at large.

    Mr Edoreh said the late former commissioner remains a role model to not only sports administrators, but to all those aspiring to serve in any public office at any level in Nigeria.

    He recounted with happiness the passion and zeal displayed by late Prince Adeniji-Adele at inspiring positive development of youths as well as his determination to promote Sports as a tool of youth empowerment in Lagos.

    Mr Edoreh, on behalf of the entire membership of Lagos SWAN prayed that the almighty God grants the departed eternal rest and the Adeniji-Adele family the fortitude to bear this colossal loss.

    A condolence register is expected to be opened soon at the Lagos SWAN secretariat at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
