Abdul Adama Hails NFF on Confluence Queens Protest Win

After recording his first giant stride as the Chairman of Confluence Queens Football Club, Mallam Abdul Adama has hailed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for her verdict against Standard Babes FC of Aba on Friday.

The NFF’s Organising and Disciplinary Committee (O&D) on Thursday awarded three points and three goals to the Kogi ladies after meeting over the protest filed against Standard Babes of Aba on fielding an ineligible player in a Week-18 tie played on August 26th, 2013 in the previous 2012/2013 season.

Mallam Adama who spoke through his media assistant, Samuel Ahmadu, described the protest win for Confluence Queens as a victory for Governor Idris Wada and the people of Kogi state.
The Sole Administrator while describing the penal judgment as fair and transparent commended the NFF panel, noting that the country football governing body has yet again shown that it unbiased.

“I’m grateful to the NFF for their latest show of fairness and transparency in making the right judgement – I’m happy the verdict means Confluence Queens will be playing in the Women
Premier League next season,” Mallam Adama said. The Kogi born football administrator however congratulated the Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada on the progress of Confluence Queens, while promising he would ensure the successful transformation of Kogi United and Confluence Queens in upcoming seasons.

He also commended that management, technical crew and players of Confluence Queens FC for successfully qualifying the state to playing in the newly proposed Nigeria Women Premier League next season, urging them to contribute more to ensuring the club becomes the best in the Nigerian women league.

According to Mallam Adama,”The victory is not for me but for Governor Idris Wada on his continual support to transforming the clubs and I’m grateful also to players, management and officials of Confluence Queens and the Sports Commissioner, Puke Anthony – i’m glad they’ve made us proud.”
