Nigeria Premier League Final Day Drama, Nigeria

As the week 38 league games go down today by 4pm today , fans of clubs who might say good bye to the apex league in Nigeria still believe there's still a chance for a miracle to happen while the likely champion of 2012/2013 season ( Kano Pillars, Bayelsa United and El-Kanemi Warriors) are playing away from home.

So far, 18 away wins, 60 draws ,287 and 728 goals wins have recorded as at week 37.

An away win might be recorded today as teams who are within range to be crowned champions are all playing away from home. The league defending champions will want to repeat the celebration they had at the Ijebu Ode stadium last season when they were crowned champions in the 2011/2012 season, Bayelsa United and El-Kanemi Warriors gained promotion back to the NPL after topping their groups in the 2011/2012 Nigeria National League (NNL) abridge league season and both clubs have a chance to write their names in the league history books.

The interesting side to the final day drama is that teams from the 9th position down the log aren't sure of their status yet until the final whistle is blown  later today. Nasarawa united and Nembe City are the other two clubs who gained promotion to feature in the NPL this season and it looks like they are on their way back.

Shooting Stars Sports Club ( 3SC) of Ibadan who are the first from the rare still have a chance to secure their NPL status, that is if they win away from home by at least a three goals to nil margin and hope that other clubs in the relegation concede more goals and fail to pick point(s) today.
