The U-20 Women National Team, Falconets, will now play their Sierra Leonean counterparts in the first round of the African qualifying race for next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Canada.
This, according to a letter from the Confederation of African Football, is as a result of
the withdrawal of Burkina Faso from the race to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Canada 2014.
The Falconets, who are already in a screening camp in Abuja, will host the first leg at the National Stadium, Abuja on October 26 before flying to Freetown for the second leg, which comes up on November 9.
Already, CAF has appointed Dayves Ross Leopoldina from Guinea Bissau as Referee for the match, with her compatriots Amancio Biague Deolinda and Gomes Mariza Antonio as Assistants Referees 1 and 2 respectively.
Fadouma Dia from Senegal will be Reserve Referee and Ghanaian Helena
Williams is the Match Commissioner.
