Samson Unuanel, coach of Kwara United has been shown the exit door after the Afonja Warriors were relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL). a second level league in Nigeria.
According to a post on the club's Facebook fanpage early this morning, the coach who succeeded former Kwara United ex-player Tunde Sanni has been thrown out for not meeting the set target of securing a continental ticket. See the update on Kwara United Fanpage after the cut----
Below is the update on Kwara United Facebook fanpage:
According to the post, Chairman of the club, Bamidele Aluko said the technical crew were given just a year contract.
"We had a year contract with all the technical crew and all our staff and it has been terminated after the season but there is still a chance for them to re-apply" Aluko said.
Even with an excellent away win (three away win) in the 2012/2013 Nigeria Premier League Season (NPL) the Afonja Warriors couldn't hold their own at lokoja (a ground they were banished to ) against Akwa United on the last day of the season.
