They sign and terminate league sponsorship. Our football has gone through a lot of court interpretation lately, the players that make things happen in the league are not getting the best of pay checks compelling them to jump at any offer outside of the country.
Football clubs in Nigeria have lost their strong fan base to European football due to the poor state we’ve found ourselves. European football is enjoying massive followership because of their delivery.
While some say football is dead in the country others still have hope that the future is bright.
Those saddled with the responsibility of administering football in our country are not ready to solve the problem from the root but prefer to cut the branches.
They invite twenty two (22) foreign base players to prosecute any match, be it friendly or tournament. This trend will continue because they lack confidence in our league. The N.F.F is even proud to say we gave the coach everything he needed when they know they’ve done nothing to
improve the league.
Football is like a second religion to fans yet NFF toy with what unifies the country. Nigeria is not at the nations cup while Enyimba FC of Aba and Sunshine stars of Akure are making us Proud in CAF champions league and CAF confederation cup. That shows that out of the abundance of the heart
the mouth speaks.
Let us make the league interesting and attractive and see if Nigeria won’t rule the world.
