We promised you all that we are going to review the performance of our darling team in the first stanza of the 2014/2015 Nigeria Proffesional Football League Season .
Comprehensive Mid-Season Review Of The Naze Millionaires

We kicked off the season on a solid note as we defeated  newly promoted side Shooting Stars of Ibadan by 2-1 in their home ground thereby creating history to be the first team to record an away victory in their first game of the season Isn’t that an impressive result for our darling team to set precedence for other teams to follow?
Just ponder on it a bit.

In case you have forgotten, Ebere Odichie scored our first league goal of the season in the 16 minutes followed by Jimoh Oni whose 84 minutes strike silence the Oluyole Warriors  in Ibadan to give us our first victory of the season.

The game against Kano Pillars ought to have been our first home game but it was suspended due to the robbery attack on the Pillars contingent on their way to Owerri. Our first home game of the season resulted in a seven goal thriller against Nasarawa United as we thrashed them by 5-2, the goal scorers were Ebere Odichie, Fred Okwara, Bright Ejike who got a brace and Joseph Iniobong.

Our fine form of the season continued as we travelled to Kwara State and stunned the Harmony  Warriors by beating them 3-2 in Ilorin and also set another record in the league to become the first side to win twice on the road.

However, our team capitulated after the impressive start to the season we lost two home games against Abia Warriors and Sunshine Stars but we bounced back against Kano Pillars in a rescheduled game as we won by a lone goal, thanks to goal scorer Bright Ejike and  it was played on the 30-04-2015.

Our Coach Erasmus Onuh was suspended on the 16-06-2015 by the Club Management which they termed “Factionalism of the team and his regular
critism of his own team, which has a negative impact on the players” after thumping Bayelsa United 4-1 in match day eleven fixture. He was replaced by Coach Bethel Orji who was promoted as a Chief Coach of the team.

We travelled to Portharcourt on Match Day 14 and faced relegation strugglers Sharks FC after which ended 1-1 apiece with our top goal scorer Bright Ejike getting on the score sheet against his former team. The team kept on getting the desired result as we
thrashed Dolphins FC by 3-1 in Oba during the Match Day 17 fixture with Bright Ejike scoring his tenth goal of the campaign and also Collins
Nwaneri, Emeka Ogbugh all getting on the score sheet.

We travelled to El-Kanemi and drew 1-1 against the Warriors from Maiduguri before
humiliating giant killers Wikki Tourists of Bauchi by 4-0 to conclude the first stanza of the season. We should also remember that the League Management Company suspended our team from playing at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri due to poor maintenance of the stadium midway into the season.

We adopted the Rojenny Stadium Oba in Anambra State as our home ground and later used the Liberation Stadium in a game against Ifeanyi Ubah but we are hopeful of returning back to Owerri when the Second Stanza resumes.
