The bane of football development in Nigeria points towards different facets, and cannot be asuaged by the incessant sacking of coaches. If we don't know the cause and effect of a problem we can't profer a lasting solution to ameliorate it.
The major virus of our football is the policies put in place. Our Recruitment policies both for players and coaches cannot lead us to cannan, and if we don't put the right policies in place our national teams and clubs will continue to falter at major events and we will continue to go back to the drawing board and nothing to show for it.
On players recruitment, our local clubs need a functioning academy. No serious country of the world that takes development of football with seriousness, doesnt have a good academy. An academy serves as training ground to nurture and fine tune the skills of young players. Development of football in Ivory Coast came about as a result of the emergence of the famed "Asec MimosaAcademy".
If a Pep Guardiola works with the present crop of players the national team is parading;he would fail, you can't go to war without adequate preparation.
On coach recruitment policy, our coaches need to be trained regularly and sent on refresher course abroad to fine tune there technical skills, and give them the requisite skills to compete with their countepart abroad, if this trend continues, it will leave us with no other option than to rely on foreign experts.
If our players and coaches are adequately trained and prepared it will help to ameliorate the horrendous situation the country football development is.

Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus serves as recruiting ground for the countries they are established. There are lot of skills and talent wasting away on the streets of Nigeria. These clubs can help to comb the major streets in their cities. This will help to reduce our over reliance on over age players who only shine for a 3-4 years and go into oblivion.
