According to reports, Newcastle United winger Sammy Ameobi has decided to sign a new contract with the club and will join Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan.
The former Flying Eagles star, Ameobi pulled interest from Cardiff after making 27 appearances in all competitions last season and scored two goals, Ameobi was set to become a free agent this week after Newcastle United allowed his deal to run down but according to reports, the 23-year-old has been convinced to commit his future to the club.
ESPN suggests that Newcastle will allow him to begin the season on loan at Wolves, who are looking to replace Bakary Sako. It's not yet obvious if Ameobi will spend the entire season on loan at Wolverhampton who feature in the Championship.
