The appointment of former Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Oliseh as the chief coach of the Super Eagles has been applauded by soccer fans both local and internationa.

Soccer great. Segun Odegbami referred to Sunday Oliseh as the "intellectual face of Nigeria's game in the 21st century". He is the first Nigerian coach to assume the
position with the certificate most prestigious coaches in Europe parade.

    Nigerians Won't Settle For Less

The Super Eagles job is the most difficult job in the world, Nigerians are known to only suoport when you are winning and they are quick to criticise when you are losing, the fans cannot settle for anything less than success.
He promised to invite players that are playing in top leagues across the world, this is a welcome development as it will enable competition amongst the palyers both home and abroad, i subscribe to this as it will help to bring the best legs to our national teams but he did not specify if the players are regular players in this top leagues he mentioned.

Gone should be the days of bench warmers forming super stars in the Super Eagles, to compete with top teams in the world we need the best arsenals.

The payers in the ocal league should be selected and given a chance to compete with their Europe base counterpart. Gone are the days when Nigerians stay glued to their television to watch Enyimba or Rangers play especially in the CAF Champions League. if the local players are allowed to play regularly for the national team based on merit,it will return soccer loving Nigerians to there screen to watch the local leagues once more.
