After about 7 hours of direct flight from Lagos to Dubai, Buruj Sports Academy's contingent to 2016 Dubai International Super Cup landed at the Dubai International
Airport in the early hours of Monday to the warm embrace of locals and airport
officials who are delighted to meet some young boys who are hungry for success in the round leather game.
The Emirates Airline plane departed Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos around 3.pm on Sunday and it was a smooth and enjoyable journey for the youthful side all through.
The delegation moved straight to their Ibis Deira City Centre Hotel around 3.am after they went through all the immigration and airport formalities.
They are expected to relax their muscles and nerves today (Monday) before they will play their first two matches against Precor and Muscat on Tuesday.
Speaking on arrival in Dubai, the captain of the team, Fadeni Kehinde, vowed that he and his teammates are ready to repay the effort and investment of the management of Buruj Sports Academy with good show both on and off the pitch in Dubai.
He also thanked the staff of Emirates Airline for what he described as their professionalism and friendliness while the journey to Dubai lasted.
The entourage are billed to return to the country next weekend.
