Dikko told thenff.com: "I think they are coming up well because I saw them when they got to the camp at the beginning. There is a huge difference from what I saw here today. It looks as if they are really progressing. This means that the coaches are doing what they are suppose to do."

He said that the Falcons are definitely getting into competitive shape. According to him: "It is really amazing for them to play against men and come out winners,” adding that the expected overseas –based professionals would enhance the team by adding the needed experience.

"The only thing is that the foreign based players will add a little bit of experience and maybe motivation for the other home based players to give their best. Anyway, it is always good to have your best legs for any competition. But from what I saw today, if they continue this way, I am sure that they are going to do well."

Dikko urged the media to create more awareness for the women's game: "Yes! There is always very little awareness of the women’s games. We urge the media to help in promoting the women’s game better.

"If it were to be the Super Eagles playing here today, you would have seen hundreds of people coming out to watch them. That's the area we need to be working on. On the part of the NFF, we are always taking the Super Falcons very serious and we will continue to treat them specially."

The Falcons won the very interesting game 2-1 through goals from Chioma Wogu and Ijeoma Obi. Evaristus Eriobu scored for the All Stars.
