Nigeria National League, NNL side, Kogi United are set to intensify their readiness for the new season with selected football friendlies.
United would travel to both Ekiti and Osun states where they are to play two games in each of the states in the duration of fives days.
The Confluence state club will begin their engagements on the trip with a fixture against NNL new import, Afe-Babalola FC on Thursday at the Kayode Oluyemi Stadium, Ado-Ekiti by 4pm.
The game would serve as return leg of the earlier game played fortnight ago in Lokoja where it ended 1-1 between both sides.
Kogi United will also be taking on a Nationwide League One, NLO side, Ekiti United at the same venue on Friday by 4pm to wrap up their stay at the Center of Learning State.
The contingent would then move to Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Saturday where they are expected to play two more games before returning to their base in Lokoja.
First with the game against their counterparts in the NNL, Osun United on Sunday at the Osogbo Township Stadium by 4pm.
Kogi United will conclude their on-the-road assessment of the team with a final game against 2016 Federation Cup Semi-finalists, Crown FC of Ogbomoso at the same Osogbo Township Stadium by 4pm.
Head Coach of Kogi United, Ishaya Jatau noted that the games would assist his side to confirm their level of readiness for the league which is expected to kickoff next month just as he commended the management and government for their timely support and encouragement.
"These games would surely be good for us to get ready for the league, we've been able to get some good addition of players that can help prosecute our campaign this season, and these games will help us to know how ready we are.
"The management and government have been trying with their encouragement and support so far, we can only reciprocate by giving good account of ourselves in the league and other competitions," he said.
